Harpy HOur - Zoom request concerts
Next Harpy Hour: Friday 26th Sep 2025 6pm UK time
Back in 2020, thanks to COVID-19, life as a freelance musician changed dramatically. In a bid to keep making an income and to create an accessible concert experience, I started Harpy Hour - a morale-boosting concert of audience requests streamed through Zoom. The first Harpy Hour was on 27th March 2020 and the concerts have continued to the present day. I have even hosted several Harpy Hours online for private parties and corporate events. There have also been integrated Live and Online Harpy Hours now that the world has opened up again (see photo above). In 2021 Harpy Hour received support from the Royal Philharmonic Society Enterprise Fund in association with Harriet’s Trust to help expand the idea and bring harp music to as many people as possible.
The 150th Harpy Hour was on Friday 6th June at 7pm at sYp cocktail bar in the City of London.
